Novi has their new Varsity Football Coach.

Written Tuesday June 16th at 8:34 PM

Novi has their new varsity football coach.

The Wildcats according to Hometown Life's Brandon Folsom promoted Logan Pawloski to be their new head coach.

Pawloski takes over for Coach Jim Sparks who stepped down last month.

Pawloski was an assistant for Sparks for five years and is a Traverse City West alumnus. He takes over a program that will go through a transition period during the summer. Novi will be in the Kensington Lakes Activities Association Black Division this season and head to the OAA next season.

The Wildcats went 25-24 under Sparks in his five years with four postseason appearances at Novi but injuries derailed their season and went 3-6 however they did beat archrival Northville last season.

It will be very interesting to see how Pawloski handles this transition with a very tough schedule ahead starting with a trip to Thirlby Field when the Wildcats play Traverse City Central in week one.

Program strength is another concern Novi faces heading into this season.

Stay tuned to OAA Now for the latest on this developing story.
