Week Seven Games.

Written Saturday October 3rd at 9:00 AM

Here are the week seven games.

CLAWSON at Madison Heights Madison: This is the MAC Bronze title game and it's the ultimate test for the Trojans heading to Madison to take on an Eagles team that is very athletic. Clawson has a really bad loss to Algonac but has a chance to clinch at least a share of the MAC Bronze with a win. The Eagles have a chance to clinch the MAC Bronze outright but the Trojans have to play better and score points, they only scored 14 points in a win last week.

NORTHVILLE at Belleville: This is a very interesting game between two teams that are on top of the KLAA Black. The Mustangs are coming off a very disappointing 14-10 loss to Dearborn Fordson last week. The Tigers won 55-6 over Novi last week. Both teams have athletes and are looking to clinch at least a share of the KLAA Black. Northville doesn't want what happened to them again last season.

Plymouth at NOVI: The Wildcats are really struggling scoring 25 points in four weeks. Novi really needs a reset at the end of the season. Plymouth has been up and down recently and is coming off a tough 43-37 loss to Dearborn Heights Crestwood last week. This should be a very tough game for Novi with their struggles this season.

Saginaw at GRAND BLANC: The Bobcats have been rolling lately and is on a collision course with Davison for the Saginaw Valley League South/Red crown. Grand Blanc had no issues with Lapeer winning 49-8 last week. The Phoenix has been struggling as of late and traveling into Genesee County will be no easy task for Saginaw.

DAVISON at Flint Carman Ainsworth: The Cardinals are on a collision course with Grand Blanc after winning 46-22 over River Rouge last week. The Cavaliers have been struggling as of late. This should be an interesting game before the Cardinals big one to decide the Saginaw Valley League South/Red next week.

1. CLARKSTON at 7. LAKE ORION: The Wolves were dominant in all three phases against West Bloomfield winning 64-8 last week. Clarkston had a chance to rest some key players like Ty Duffy, Alex Waszczenko, Wendell Childs and new players like Malaki Switser, Tre LaFave, both Maffahy brothers, and Kierron Riddle who all had big games against the Lakers. The Dragons got a chance to play their second and third strings in the second half in a 49-7 blowout win over Troy last week behind three touchdown runs from Jeremiah Lightner and Tristian Locke threw a touchdown pass against Troy. Lake Orion like Clarkston is talented but they have to stay penalty and mistake free against a well-coached and well-disciplined Clarkston if they have any chance to pull off what would be a major upset in the State, if not it could be a long night for the Dragons.

2. STONEY CREEK at 6. ADAMS: This is a huge game that could decide the city championship. The Cougars won the White outright with a 41-14 win over Rochester last week. The Highlanders controlled most of the game against Oxford only to fall 15-14 last week. This should be a very interesting game between two teams that want to control the city of Rochester.

3. OXFORD at WEST BLOOMFIELD: The Wildcats needed to survive Adams 15-14 last week in a game where Oxford had an emotional letdown after falling 31-28 to Clarkston two weeks ago. The Wildcats needed a late score after getting dominated in the time of possession battle and Adams changing defenses in the game. The Lakers have been on a downward spiral which got worse falling 64-8 to Clarkston last week. West Bloomfield trailed 43-0 at one point and 57-8 at halftime in the game. This should be a very interesting matchup of two teams that are looking for a bounce back week.

4. HARPER WOODS at 9. SEAHOLM: The Pioneers are riding a ton of confidence heading into this game with Seaholm. Harper Woods has responded very well since their 29-20 loss to Chelsea in week one. The Maples scored 49 points but allowed 34 points in a 49-34 win over Southfield Arts and Tech last week. This should be a very interesting game of two teams that have two different styles.

5. FERNDALE at 10. ROYAL OAK: This is the Gold title game in this matchup. The Ravens have a chance to clinch a share of the Gold if they win this game. Royal Oak took back the Battle of Woodward Street sign with a 35-23 win at Hurley Field over Berkley last week. The Eagles are red hot outscoring their last four opponents 233-0. Ferndale clinches the Gold outright with a win. This should be a very interesting game to say the least.

8. GROVES at WATERFORD MOTT: The Corsairs have been struggling despite being 3-3 after falling 47-12 to Harper Woods last week. The Falcons needed to survive Oak Park winning 20-18 on a Hail Mary last week. These are two teams in a crossroads on their seasons especially Waterford Mott. This should be a very interesting game.

TROY at BLOOMFIELD HILLS: The Black Hawks seen their postseason dreams take a hit with a 53-14 stunning blowout loss to Troy Athens last week after beating West Bloomfield 28-20 two weeks ago. The Colts are coming off a tough 49-7 homecoming loss to Lake Orion last week. This should be a very interesting game to say the least.

TROY ATHENS at ROCHESTER: This might be the most interesting game of week seven. The Red Hawks sit at 2-4 and upset Bloomfield Hills 53-14 last week. The Falcons are coming off a really dissapointing 41-14 loss to Stoney Creek last week which would have given them a share of the White. This should be very interesting to see how this matchup goes and if Troy Athens can keep the momentum against a good Rochester program.

OAK PARK at SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH: These are two teams that know each other really well. The Knights are coming off a heartbreaking 20-18 loss to Groves on a Hail Mary last week. The Warriors have played much better football despite falling 49-34 to Seaholm last week. Can Southfield Arts and Tech's improved play in the last two weeks create what would be a shocking upset??? It would be very interesting to see how that goes.

PONTIAC at WATERFORD KETTERING: These are two teams that are really struggling right now. The Phoenix have had trouble scoring and allowing a ton of points. The Captains have had the same troubles but were competitive despite falling 21-19 to Avondale last week. This should be a very interesting matchup.

BERKLEY at AVONDALE: These are two teams that are in interesting spots. The Yellow Jackets are 3-3 after winning 21-19 over Waterford Kettering. The Bears seen their postseason hopes dashed after falling 35-23 over Royal Oak. Avondale does have a chance to clinch a share of the Gold if Ferndale loses to Royal Oak to create a three team share. This should be a very interesting game.
