Adams has a new volleyball coach and it's a familiar name to many around the OAA and also to my Class which is the Class of 2006.
The Highlanders named Nancy McKouen as their new varsity volleyball. She replaces Terry Baughman who stepped down in the offseason. Baughman coached for five years at Adams after arriving from Walled Lake Northern.
McKouen has been everywhere around Oakland County whether it was Lake Orion (as an assistant,) Milford, and West Bloomfield to name a few places.
McKouen has been a proven winner wherever she's been.
The Highlanders have a proven and experienced roster in Emily Edwards, Tina Barenkova, Olivia Carroll, Isabel Bass, Sayrha Nahra, Lucy Meteyer, Vanessa Hogerheide, Talia Abraham, Sophia Workobkevich, and Tori Lang coming back.
Thoughts
This is a great hire, for an experienced team to have a proven experience coach coaching them. Adams will be in the mix this fall. There will be a transition period which has to happen during the season. The Highlanders are in the Red this season. It should be very interesting.
Stay tuned to OAA Now for the latest on this developing story.
