It looks like the Phoenix will have a new coach in 2023.
Pontiac Football Coach Ken Wade has stepped down from the program according to Zip Recruiter whom posted the job last week.
Wade was at Pontiac for two years. He has built a program from the ground up and has really improved offensively but defensively they struggled.
The Phoenix went 0-18 in Wade's two seasons. They were more competitive than in years past.
Whoever the new coach is will need some patience. Program strength is a concern but program strength rise under Wade. The defense is a concern. There is some talent for the new coach to work with. Pontiac has running back Davieon Hall, quarterback Kayne Donaldson, lineman Bryce Brown, and Debon Johnson in the defensive secondary coming back.
It will be very interesting to see where the Phoenix goes with their new coach. It will be something to watch this offseason.
Stay tuned to OAA Now for the latest on this developing story.
Here is the job posting for Pontiac football.
John Blackstock could do well there or Kurt Richardson
