1. Harper Woods: The Pioneers were really impressive coming back from 21-0 down and stunning Clarkston on the road 27-21 on Friday night.
2. Adams: Highlanders have been rolling lately but the defense has really impressed me.
3. Clarkston: I've had concerns about the Wolves defense, the game against Harper Woods proved my point.
4. Stoney Creek: Rose Telagades has become the wildcat quarterback the Cougars are looking for.
5. Oxford: Brody Casper has made some noise for the Wildcats.
6. West Bloomfield: Can't judge the Lakers until they play Adams.
7. Seaholm: Congrats to Coach Jim DeWald on his 100th career win at Seaholm.
8. Troy: The Colts are off to a 2-0 start getting wins over Bloomfield Hills and Ferndale but there is something off about them but for now the Colts are rolling.
9. North Farmington: The Raiders had a tough 31-28 loss to Walled Lake Western on Friday night but there are some good things ahead for North Farmington despite the loss, kept them in the top ten.
10. Groves: The Falcons despite the 24-21 loss to Oxford stay in the top ten. Groves has shown some improvement and was impressive against Detroit University-Detroit Jesuit in week one. They should be fine going forward.
Rankings Explanation:
Harper Woods jumped into the top spot coming back from 21-0 down to stun Clarkston 27-21 which is why they are in the top spot.
Adams stays at two despite two really good weeks against Romeo and Rochester.
Clarkston goes to three after falling to Harper Woods, there are some concerns about their defense but kept them at three with thoughts of sending them to four.
Stoney Creek had a big win at Lake Orion which is why they went up two spots.
Kept Oxford at five despite the 2-0 start but we'll know a lot about them when they play Clarkston.
West Bloomfield moved down despite being 2-0 with other teams having more impressive wins but we'll know about the Lakers when they play Adams.
Seaholm comes into the rankings at seven after two impressive wins and Coach Jim DeWald's 100th career win at Seaholm.
Troy is at eight despite some serious concerns.
I kept North Farmington at nine despite the loss to Walled Lake Western.
Groves stays at ten despite their loss to Oxford.
I dropped Rochester after their blowout loss to Adams and Lake Orion after their 0-2 start from the rankings. The Dragons have injuries among other concerns. The Falcons had a rough week. It will be very interesting to see what happens next week.
