Here are the top 23 boys basketball rankings before the Christmas holiday classics begin.
1. Ferndale (2-1): Eagles have two very tough classic games to
worry about during the holidays.
2. Clarkston (2-1): Wolves have had a lot of down time. Wonder how they will respond against Sterling Heights Stevenson???
3. North Farmington (4-0): Raiders have been on COVID protocol. Wonder if they will be ready for their own classic???
4. Adams (3-1): Highlanders will be fine, there is no need to panic.
5. Oak Park (3-0): Derald Blackman and Ashton Henderson have been playing very well for the Knights.
6. Rochester (4-0): Matt Stone has been playing very well for the Falcons.
7. Bloomfield Hills (4-0): Blackhawks will be tested against two very good teams in Ferndale.
8. Berkley (4-1): Bears didn’t look as sharp against Clawson but they are riding high into the New Year.
9. Troy (2-2): Zach Fairless and Darius Whiteside has been playing very well for the Colts.
10. Troy Athens (2-2): Red Hawks getting ready for a trip to Port Huron.
11. West Bloomfield (1-3): Lakers are going through a rough patch but they have the talent to turn it around.
12. Oxford (2-1): Bryce Essman has been outstanding for the Wildcats.
13. Lake Orion (2-4): Could Coach Jose Andrades become the next Rick Bowness???
14. Groves (2-2): Falcons have been a Jekyll and Hyde lately.
15. Stoney Creek (2-2): Evant Taras has become the scoring option for the Cougars.
16. Southfield Arts and Tech (2-4): Warriors are struggling a little bit.
17. Avondale (1-3): Yellow Jackets getting ready for an interesting game against Riverview at Carleton Airport.
18. Harper Woods (0-3): It has been a struggle for the Pioneers. They lost to three good teams so there is that.
19. Seaholm (1-5): Maples are really struggling right now.
20. Royal Oak (2-3): Dylan Hoffman is ready to break out for the Ravens.
21. Ferndale University (1-3): Coach Josh Nicks has the Eagles heading in the right direction.
22. Farmington (1-3): Falcons are really struggling right now.
23. Pontiac (0-0): Phoenix not playing until January really concerns me.
