SANDY DUNES 86-31

COTTER 100-17

BURNEY 83-34

DUNLAP 84-33

STICK 91-26

TIM 91-26

We’ll get Tim’s picks when we can.

Croswell-Lexington at HARPER WOODS: This is a very interesting matchup of two teams named Pioneers that are coming in with a ton of confidence. Croswell-Lexington has been very good in the always competitive Blue Water Conference. They fell 35-32 to Freeland last week. Harper Woods has been rolling and has played a really tough schedule. This should be a very interesting game in Wayne County.

SANDY DUNES: HARPER WOODS 49, CROSWELL-LEXINGTON 31.

COTTER: HARPER WOODS 32, CROSWELL-LEXINGTON 7.

DUNLAP: HARPER WOODS 28, CROSWELL-LEXINGTON 24.

STICK: HARPER WOODS over CROSWELL-LEXINGTON.

BURNEY: HARPER WOODS 33, CROSWELL-LEXINGTON 22.

TIM: HARPER WOODS 35, CROSWELL-LEXINGTON 21.

Madison Heights Lamphere at Marysville: These are two teams that are no strangers to one another. This is also a rematch of a 36-13 win for the Vikings over the Rams in week four. Marysville has been outscored 56-0 in their two losses to Marine City and Almont. Madison Heights Lamphere has won three straight and is 30-9 in the last four years. This should be a very interesting game in Marysville.

SANDY DUNES: MARYSVILLE 49, MADISON HEIGHTS LAMPHERE 35.

COTTER: MARYSVILLE 42, MADISON HEIGHTS LAMPHERE 14.

DUNLAP: MARYSVILLE 31, MADISON HEIGHTS LAMPHERE 10.

STICK:  MARYSVILLE over MADISON HEIGHTS LAMPHERE.

BURNEY: MARYSVILLE 32, MADISON HEIGHTS LAMPHERE 27.

TIM: MARYSVILLE 35, MADISON HEIGHTS LAMPHERE 21.

Holly at AVONDALE: This is a rematch of two teams that have met in the last two years but they didn’t play this season. The Bronchos are well coached under Billy Keenest and have wins over Royal Oak and Ferndale as does Avondale who have gone through a complete makeover. The Yellow Jackets have rolled under Coach Bob Meyer and the results have shown. This should be a very interesting matchup at Dick Bye Field this week.

SANDY DUNES: AVONDALE 21, HOLLY 14.

COTTER: AVONDALE 35, HOLLY 14.

DUNLAP: AVONDALE 27, HOLLY 17.

STICK: AVONDALE over HOLLY.

BURNEY: AVONDALE 33, HOLLY 22.

TIM: AVONDALE 49, HOLLY 14.

Redford Thurston at Walled Lake Western: The Warriors have looked like a dominant team at times but scares against Waterford Mott and Milford and a blowout loss to Mason. Redford Thurston has had a good season winning six games after going winless last season. This game looks like it’s a blowout on paper but you never know.

SANDY DUNES: WALLED LAKE WESTERN 49, REDFORD THURSTON 0.

COTTER: WALLED LAKE WESTERN 56, REDFORD THURSTON 0.

DUNLAP: WALLED LAKE WESTERN 34, REDFORD THURSTON 17.

STICK: WALLED LAKE WESTERN over REDFORD THURSTON.

BURNEY: WALLED LAKE WESTERN 34, REDFORD THURSTON 18.

TIM: WALLED LAKE WESTERN 42, REDFORD THURSTON 28.

GROVES at SEAHOLM: This was a shocker when this matchup came out. Normally the Falcons and Maples would meet later in the postseason but I didn’t expect them to meet in the first round especially after Seaholm won 21-14 over Groves behind a dominant offensive line. This should be a fun one to watch in the Battle of Birmingham Part II.

SANDY DUNES: SEAHOLM 27, GROVES 24.

COTTER: GROVES 24, SEAHOLM 21.

DUNLAP: GROVES 21, SEAHOLM 17.

STICK: SEAHOLM over GROVES.

BURNEY: SEAHOLM 30, GROVES 28.

TIM: GROVES 35, SEAHOLM 31.

Livonia Franklin at Waterford Mott: This was a matchup not a ton of experts expected to see the Patriots have allowed more than they have scored this season. The Corsairs rely a ton on their quarterback Kaleb Osbourne. This game looks like it could be an upset trap in the making if Waterford Mott isn’t careful.

SANDY DUNES: LIVONIA FRANKLIN 40, WATERFORD MOTT 30.

COTTER: LIVONIA FRANKLIN 35, WATERFORD MOTT 30.

DUNLAP: WATERFORD MOTT 35, LIVONIA FRANKLIN 30.

STICK: LIVONIA FRANKLIN over WATERFORD MOTT.

BURNEY: WATERFORD MOTT 36, LIVONIA FRANKLIN 28.

TIM: LIVONIA FRANKLIN 35, WATERFORD MOTT 21.

Dearborn Fordson at SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH: The Warriors have been rolling despite their only loss to West Bloomfield in week eight. Dearborn Fordson has been a traditional power but hasn’t had the same success lately. It should be a very interesting matchup between Southfield Arts and Tech and the Tractors but there are some questions with Dearborn Fordson to watch.

SANDY DUNES: SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 49, DEARBORN FORDSON 0.

COTTER: SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 40, DEARBORN FORDSON 14.

DUNLAP: SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 42, DEARBORN FORDSON 28.

STICK: SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH over DEARBORN FORDSON.

BURNEY: SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 35, DEARBORN FORDSON 18.

TIM: SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 56, DEARBORN FORDSON 7.

Detroit Cass Tech at Westland John Glenn: It has been a special year for the Rockets in which they get a home game in the first round but the opponent is Cory Sadler and Detroit Cass Tech. The Technicians saw their six game winning streak get snapped in a 47-23 loss to Toledo Central Catholic at Ford Field last week. If Westland John Glenn wants to pull off the upset they need to play their best game and then some.

SANDY DUNES: DETROIT CASS TECH 52, WESTLAND JOHN GLENN 14.

COTTER: DETROIT CASS TECH 45, WESTLAND JOHN GLENN 21.

DUNLAP: DETROIT CASS TECH 27, WESTLAND JOHN GLENN 17.

STICK: WESTLAND JOHN GLENN over DETROIT CASS TECH.

BURNEY: DETROIT CASS TECH 45, WESTLAND JOHN GLENN 23.

TIM: DETROIT CASS TECH 42, WESTLAND JOHN GLENN 14.

ADAMS at WEST BLOOMFIELD: This is a rematch of a 36-32 Lakers win over the Highlanders in week five at the Swamp. Talking to Tyler Kieft at Civic Center Television, he mentioned that the key will be how both teams have improved since they last met. Both teams have been rolling with a ton of confidence. It should be a very interesting game in the Swamp.

SANDY DUNES: WEST BLOOMFIELD 38, ADAMS 35.

COTTER: WEST BLOOMFIELD 34, ADAMS 31.

DUNLAP: WEST BLOOMFIELD 38, ADAMS 31.

STICK: WEST BLOOMFIELD over ADAMS.

BURNEY: WEST BLOOMFIELD 31, ADAMS 28.

TIM: WEST BLOOMFIELD 42, ADAMS 35.

Utica at Utica Eisenhower: This is a rematch of a 34-7 Eagles win over the Chieftains in week eight at Sweinhart. Although no one will have a home field advantage in this game because both teams play at Sweinhart. It should be a very interesting matchup to say the least.

SANDY DUNES: UTICA EISENHOWER 56, UTICA 0.

COTTER: UTICA EISENHOWER 42, UTICA 7.

DUNLAP: UTICA EISENHOWER 35, UTICA 7.

STICK: UTICA EISENHOWER over UTICA.

BURNEY: UTICA EISENHOWER 40, UTICA 26.

TIM: UTICA EISENHOWER 56, UTICA 7.

OXFORD at LAKE ORION: The Wildcats needed to win three games to make the postseason and they did that behind the play of Luke Johnson. Oxford has played very well lately as mentioned. The Dragons are coming off an emotional 35-28 win in Saline over the Hornets. This is a rematch of a 38-14 Lake Orion win over Oxford in week three. The Wildcats have talked a ton about the 2021 team which is dangerous for the Dragons but Lake Orion has some similarities to the 2005, 2010, and 2012 teams. This should be a very interesting game.

SANDY DUNES: LAKE ORION 35, OXFORD 14.

COTTER: LAKE ORION 38, OXFORD 7.

DUNLAP: LAKE ORION 35, OXFORD 21.

STICK: LAKE ORION over OXFORD.

BURNEY: LAKE ORION 38, OXFORD 26.

TIM: LAKE ORION 35, OXFORD 21.

Romeo at CLARKSTON: This is a very interesting matchup of two teams that have played very difficult schedules and have lost three of their last four games to close the season. The Wolves have home field in this game but the Bulldogs won 29-23 over Grand Blanc last week. This should be a tight game on Flemings Lake Road.

SANDY DUNES: ROMEO 28, CLARKSTON 14.

COTTER: ROMEO 31, CLARKSTON 21.

DUNLAP: ROMEO 20, CLARKSTON 17.

STICK: CLARKSTON over ROMEO.

BURNEY: CLARKSTON 27, ROMEO 26.

TIM: CLARKSTON 28, ROMEO 24.

Lapeer at Davison: These are two rivals that are no strangers to one another, separated by a few miles and two counties. The Cardinals are 4-1 in their last five meetings against the Lightning including a 56-55 shootout last week in Davison. Lapeer has proven it can play with the Cardinals and they have a really good quarterback. Davison has to be careful if not then they could be upset.

SANDY DUNES: LAPEER 55, DAVISON 52.

COTTER: DAVISON 49, LAPEER 42.

DUNLAP: LAPEER 42, DAVISON 41.

STICK: DAVISON over LAPEER.

BURNEY: DAVISON 25, LAPEER 24.

TIM: DAVISON 56, LAPEER 48.

Grand Ledge at Grand Blanc: This is the third meeting between the Bobcats and the Comets and the first meeting since 1981. Grand Blanc is 2-0 all time against Grand Ledge in school history. The Bobcats have lost two straight coming into this game. The Comets have lost three of their last four games. This should be a very interesting matchup of two teams that have two different styles.

SANDY DUNES: GRAND LEDGE 28, GRAND BLANC 23.

COTTER: GRAND LEDGE 28, GRAND BLANC 21.

DUNLAP: GRAND LEDGE 35, GRAND BLANC 21.

STICK: GRAND LEDGE over GRAND BLANC.

BURNEY: GRAND BLANC 21, GRAND LEDGE 20.

TIM: GRAND LEDGE 35, GRAND BLANC 28.

Essexville-Garber at Frankenmuth: The Eagles have won eight straight since their loss to Goodrich in week one. Frankemuth is coming off a tough 10-7 loss to Gladwin in the Division Five State final last season. The Dukes have won their last two games by a combined 50-7. They have some confidence heading into the postseason. This is a rematch that Frankenmuth won 54-7 in week six. Looks like a mismatch on paper.

SANDY DUNES: FRANKENMUTH 52, ESSEXVILLE GARBER 6.

COTTER: FRANKENMUTH 49, ESSEXVILLE GARBER 7.

DUNLAP: FRANKENMUTH 35, ESSEXVILLE GARBER 10.

STICK: FRANKENMUTH over ESSEXVILLE GARBER.

BURNEY: FRANKEMUTH 37, ESSEXVILLE GARBER 23.

TIM: FRANKENMUTH 63, ESSEXVILLE GARBER 7.

Birch Run at Saginaw Swan Valley: This should be a very interesting matchup to watch. The Panthers have no momentum heading into the postseason. Birch Run has lost three of their last four games which included a 14-10 loss to Saginaw Swan Valley in week eight. The Vikings had won three of their last four games but fell to Midland Bullock Creek 21-13 last week. This should be a good one in Saginaw.

SANDY DUNES: SAGINAW SWAN VALLEY 20, BIRCH RUN 10.

COTTER: SAGINAW SWAN VALLEY 21, BIRCH RUN 20.

DUNLAP: SAGINAW SWAN VALLEY 21, BIRCH RUN 20.

STICK: BIRCH RUN over SAGINAW SWAN VALLEY

BURNEY: SAGINAW SWAN VALLEY 24, BIRCH RUN 21.

TIM: SAGINAW SWAN VALLEY 28, BIRCH RUN 21.
