Top Ten and Rankings Explanation.

Written Saturday September 13th at 9:10 AM

Here are the rankings this week after week three.

1. Harper Woods: Pioneers are clicking on all cylinders right now.

2. Clarkston: Wolves bounced back after a tough loss to Harper Woods last week.

3. West Bloomfield: Lakers are legit right now.

4. Stoney Creek: Cougars are rolling along right now.

5. Adams: Highlanders need Ryland Watters back and soon.

6. Seaholm: Patrick Hughes has been the real deal for the Maples.

7. Rochester: Nate Tandy has been really impressive thus far.

8. Troy: Colts quieting doubters with this start.

9. Oxford: Wildcats will be fine despite loss to Clarkston.

10. Oak Park: Knights offense is back.

Rankings Explanation

Well looking at the rankings this week. Harper Woods easily regains the top spot plus the win over Clarkston solidifies that spot for now. Clarkston moves to two after their win over Oxford, can't move them up to the top spot after their loss to the Pioneers. West Bloomfield also moves up one spot to three after their impressive 12-6 win over Adams. I didn't punish Adams too bad despite the injury to Ryland Watters but five seems appropriate. Stoney Creek stays at four after their win over Southfield Arts and Tech. Seaholm comes up to six after their win over Bloomfield Hills. Rochester comes into the seven spot after their 23-21 upset win over Lake Orion. Troy stays at eight although I have some concerns with the Colts going forward. Oxford goes to nine after their tough loss to Clarkston. Oak Park bounced back after two strong wins which is why they are in the top ten.

I kept Farmington out of the top ten because of their loss to Holly which is still mind boggling. I dropped North Farmington and Groves from the rankings this week because of tough losses.
