Playoff Possiblities.

Here are some postseason possibilities for each team. I looked at Snooze's postseason map along with several others for these possibilities.

Harper Woods (Division Four) POSTSEASON LIKELIHOOD: HIGH: The Pioneers are in a great spot when it comes to the postseason and have big road wins at Clarkston and at Saline really help that out a lot. They will have multiple home games which always helps not having to leave Beaconsfield Street until the State Semifinals. They should get by their district but Madison Heights Lamphere is somewhat of a concern. The regional final could be very interesting because Goodrich could come southeast into Wayne County or Chelsea could head east into Wayne County. Either way the regional final should be a test for Harper Woods pending if they get there. The Pioneers are in a great spot as mentioned but the possibility of Goodrich or Chelsea coming to Harper Woods in the regional final is very interesting.

Oak Park (Division Two) POSTSEASON LIKELIHOOD: LOW: The Knights are somehow in the postseason conversation. It's a real possibility that Oak Park doesn't get into the postseason if they don't win out and the next two especially this week (Lake Orion) are not easy games. If the Knights get into the postseason, they would most likely play Livonia Franklin which is not a bad matchup. Oak Park could also go to Grosse Pointe South as well. It's a big week for the Knights if they want to make the postseason.

Groves (Division Two) POSTSEASON LIKELIHOOD: HIGH: The Falcons earned a monster win over Stoney Creek likely securing their berth into the postseason. Groves has multiple possibilities when it comes to their district. If they head to Livonia to play Livonia Franklin that is a great matchup for them. They likely could see Seaholm or North Farmington in the first round which isn't bad for them but if they see Orchard Lake St. Marys in the district final that could be a big problem. Overall the possibilities look good just have to avoid Orchard Lake St. Marys at all costs.

Seaholm (Division Two): POSTSEASON LIKELIHOOD: HIGH: The Maples have done just enough to get into the postseason conversation. A rematch with Groves in the first round seems likely but they could also have a rematch with North Farmington as well which is very interesting. The bad thing is Orchard Lake St. Marys stand between them in the district finals. Overall there really isn't a postseason avenue that has Groves or Orchard Lake St. Marys that Seaholm has to see in the postseason.

North Farmington (Division Two): POSTSEASON LIKELIHOOD: HIGH: The Raiders are red hot right now heading into the final two weeks of the season. North Farmington is looking at Seaholm or Groves likely in the first round. They could also see future Lakes Valley Conference rival Livonia Franklin in the first round which is not a bad thing. If they see Orchard Lake St. Marys that could be very bad. Overall for the Raiders any possibility of not having to see Orchard Lake St. Marys is a good thing.

Waterford Mott (Division Two): POSTSEASON LIKELIHOOD: MEDIUM: The Corsairs are in the postseason conversation after missing out last season. The Corsairs look to be staring at Orchard Lake St. Marys in the first round which is a tough matchup but if East Lansing were to miss out on the postseason they could head west and north to play Midland Dow which is a much better matchup for Waterford Mott. Best case is west and north, worse case is Orchard Lake St. Marys in the first round.

Farmington (Division One) POSTSEASON LIKELIHOOD: HIGH: The Falcons won the Blue crown this season in their final year in the OAA. Farmington has several options to where they would go in the postseason. They could head to Novi and see Novi Detroit Catholic Central which is a very difficult matchup or they could see Northville which will be a tough matchup for Farmington. I don't see a match with Brighton considering they are too far east off of Interstate 96. Seeing two possibilities for the Falcons, either Novi Detroit Catholic Central or Northville seem to be the likely matchups for the Falcons.

West Bloomfield (Division One) POSTSEASON LIKELIHOOD: HIGH: The Lakers have been reeling as of late which is why they could be seeing Novi Detroit Catholic Central in the first round. There is also a possibility they could head north to Clarkston and have a rematch with the Wolves. It is a long shot but they could also go east and play Macomb Dakota but it's not likely. Overall the two most likely matchups for the Lakers seem to be Novi Detroit Catholic Central or Clarkston which are very difficult matchups.

Stoney Creek (Division One) POSTSEASON LIKELIHOOD: HIGH: The Cougars took a huge hit to their home field dreams falling to Groves. Stoney Creek has several postseason possibility, they could head to Adams and have a rematch with the Highlanders or they could see Macomb Dakota which is a very tough matchup for Coach Rick Powell and his program. Also Utica Eisenhower remains a possibility. Overall the likely matchup looks to be Adams but if they get sent east that is a possibility as well.

Adams (Division One) POSTSEASON LIKELIHOOD: HIGH: The Highlanders are likely locked into the postseason but there are several possibilities they could see. Adams might have to head east and if that's the case a clash with Macomb Dakota in the regional finals is possible. The Highlanders could see Stoney Creek or if they get sent west they lose the top seed and have a matchup with Clarkston in the first round which is what they do not want. The Highlanders do not want to go west, they would rather stay east which is the better possibility for Adams.

Oxford (Division One) POSTSEASON LIKELIHOOD: HIGH: The Wildcats defense is a serious concern heading into the postseason. Oxford has two options where they could go. The Wildcats could head east to Romeo and play the Bulldogs which would be a very interesting and physical matchup. They could also head north and play Clarkston which is a much brutal possibility for Oxford. Going east might be the better option than going north for the Wildcats in the postseason.

Clarkston (Division One) POSTSEASON LIKELIHOOD: HIGH: The Wolves are in a great spot when it comes to the district round for the postseason. Clarkston could get multiple teams that could head their way like Hartland, Adams, West Bloomfield, or Oxford in the first round. They could see Davison or Grand Blanc in the district finals which means both teams would have to head to Clarkston. The regional finals could be most interesting if they get that far, they could head to Novi Detroit Catholic Central which is a difficult matchup or if they are sent east they could see Macomb Dakota which they would have to come to Clarkston. The district looks manageable but the regional if they have to head to Novi would be very difficult to say the least.
