West Bloomfield will have a new boys basketball coach next winter.
Lakers Coach Arnette Jordan has stepped down on Tuesday according to Mitten Recruit on X.
Jordan went 39-64 in his five seasons with West Bloomfield which included two White titles and a district crown in the process.
West Bloomfield will have a new athletic director in Shane Hynes taking over the athletic department next fall. Hynes was previously at Waterford Mott and has been at Waterford Kettering and Troy. It will be very interesting to see what direction Hynes goes with this search.
The Lakers went 8-18 winning a district crown (39-36 over Orchard Lake St. Marys in district final) but fell 53-34 to Avondale in the regional semifinals last season. West Bloomfield will be in the Red with Clarkston, Ferndale, Groves, Adams, and Avondale this winter.
West Bloomfield has Jamison Wester, Quentin Allen, Nasir Moore, Shon Adkins, Jaydn Brown, Dorian Jackson, Shannon Rochon, and Eujune North coming back. Program strength will be something to watch with the Lakers going forward.
Stay tuned to OAA Now for the latest on this developing story.
