Here are the scores from week ten.
Clinton 57, CLAWSON 14: The Trojans had no answers for the Red Wolves misdirection offense in a stunning 57-14 win over Clawson on Friday night. The Trojans had a tough start but trailed 8-7 at one point Clinton scored 49 unanswered points making this game a rout. Clawson will have a ton of questions as they head to the OAA next season.
Chelsea 52, WATERFORD MOTT 7: The Corsairs got destroyed by Chelsea on Friday night falling 52-7 on Friday night. The Bulldogs were just the better team getting off to a 21-0 lead and really never looked back. Waterford Mott loses several key players including Tori Robinson to graduation. The Corsairs have a ton of questions they need to address next season.
HARPER WOODS 50, Warren Fitzgerald 8: The Pioneers had no issue with the Spartans winning 50-8 on Friday night. Harper Woods was in control throughout the night and even at one point led 37-0 in the game. The Pioneers have a tough matchup with Detroit Martin Luther King at Beaconsfield next week.
North Farmington 27, FERNDALE 26: This was a game that went back and forth with the Eagles having a chance to win the game but missed a 30-yard field goal giving the Raiders the 27-26 win over Ferndale on Friday night. The Eagles has a lot up front coming back but the quarterback spot will be the question for Coach Donovan Jackson heading into next season, but Ferndale is here and will be a force to recon with.
Orchard Lake St. Mary's 40, GROVES 12: The Falcons had a rough night with the Eaglets falling 40-12 on Friday night in Orchard Lake. Orchard Lake St. Marys was the dominant team in throughout the game, and it showed early and often, and Groves couldn't match up even trailing 40-6 in the second half. There are a lot of questions for the Falcons heading into next season.
St. Clair Shores Lakeview 45, SEAHOLM 31: In a game that was supposed to be low scoring it ended up being 76 points scored between the Huskies and the Maples on Friday night. Seaholm had no answer for Dallas Harris as he accounted for four touchdowns for St. Clair Shores Lakeview. The Maples lose a ton of experience, but they have a young nucleus to look at for next season despite the loss to a very good Huskies program. The Maples will be back that is for sure.
NORTHVILLE 28, Brownstown Woodhaven 19: The Mustangs bounced back after a tough 35-22 loss to Howell in the KLAA championship game last week with a 28-19 win over the Warriors on Friday night despite wearing white helmets. Northville and Brownstown Woodhaven went back and forth at times during the game. The Mustangs got a big test awaiting them when they head to Saline next week.
GRAND BLANC 39, Hartland 21: The Bobcats all season has wanted Clarkston whether it has been on their X page etc. and now they will get the Wolves after a 39-21 win over the Eagles on Friday night at the Don in a battle of two former KLAA members. Grand Blanc was in control throughout the game against a Hartland program that was huge up front. The Bobcats took an early 19-0 lead and never looked back. Grand Blanc has fallen to Clarkston the last two years, is the third time the charm for the Bobcats???
CLARKSTON 49, BLOOMFIELD HILLS 14: The Wolves had no issues with the Black Hawks despite trailing 7-6 at the end of the first quarter. Clarkston outscored Bloomfield Hills 43-7 the rest of the way in route to a 49-14 win on Friday night setting up a rematch with Grand Blanc for the third straight year in the district finals. Bloomfield Hills got back into the postseason which is a good sign heading into the future. Coach Scott Merchant has the Black Hawks heading in the right direction.
Novi Detroit Catholic Central 43, LAKE ORION 6: The Dragons were going to have it tough with Novi Detroit Catholic Central on Friday night which one bad quarter cost Lake Orion which was the third quarter. The Dragons turned the ball over four times and got a punt blocked in the game and penalties were also costly as well. Lake Orion had a better year and is on the right track heading into the future next season.
OXFORD 42, DAVISON 28: The Wildcats despite a complete fashion disaster won 42-28 over the Cardinals on Friday night. Oxford were in control most of the night against Davison despite trailing 7-6 at one point but the Wildcats vaunted offensive line got going with Keegan Pocisak scoring three touchdowns for Oxford. The Cardinals fall to 2-11 against the OAA since 2010. Davison will head to the OAA next season. The Wildcats should never wear white helmets again will head to Novi to play Novi Detroit Catholic Central next week.
ROCHESTER 22, Macomb Dakota 21: The Falcons had a very similar game like this against Adams when they went up two scores early only to see the Highlanders comeback and take the lead then Rocheter responded but couldn't get the two point conversion to tie the game and lost 21-19 in week two. It was very similar as mentioned with Rochester getting an early lead then Macomb Dakota came back and took the lead and then Rochester responded but the Falcons got the two point conversion on a double reverse by Nate Tandy with 18 seconds to go and stunned the Cougars 22-21 on Friday night. This is probably Coach Eric Vernon biggest football coaching win of his career. The Falcons will get a test when they head to Romeo next week.
ADAMS 35, Utica 0: The Highlanders were dominant in winning 35-0 over Utica on Friday night. Adams was in control throughout the game and they got their reserves in which was huge for Coach Tony Patritto. The Highlanders have Stoney Creek looming next week.
STONEY CREEK 49, Macomb L'Anse Creuse North 13: The Cougars were dominant against Macomb L'Anse Creuse North winning 49-13 on Friday night. Stoney Creek was dominant throughout the game which showed. They have Adams looming next week.
