Week Six Games.

Written Saturday September 26th at 9:28 AM

Here are the week six games.

GRAND BLANC at Lapeer: The Bobcats and Lightning are no strangers to one another. Grand Blanc has had Lapeer's number lately. This should be an interesting matchup in Lapeer despite the Bobcats having the depth and talent advantage coming into this game.

River Rouge at DAVISON: The Cardinals have been rolling as of late when it comes to points. The Panthers is coming off a 24-12 loss to Grand Blanc. This is a huge game for both teams when it comes to postseason positioning for Davison and a chance to make the postseason for River Rouge playing a tough schedule.

CLAWSON at Warren Lincoln: The Trojans have been up and down despite their tough 58-13 loss to Algonac two weeks ago. They bounced back and have seemed to turn things around. Clawson will see Warren Lincoln, a program that has really struggled lately. The Abes have scored six points in their three losses but over 30 points in their two wins, it's what Warren Lincoln program show up against the Trojans.

NOVI at Belleville: The Wildcats are really struggling right now on both sides of the football. Novi has a really tough chore heading to Belleville to take on a Tigers team that is surging right now. This is going to be a tough match up for the Wildcats.

Dearborn Fordson at NORTHVILLE: This should be a very interesting game of two teams that are in interesting spots. The Mustangs are sitting at a great spot while the Tractors are fine but if Dearborn Fordson can get this one it would be huge for them. This should be a very interesting game.

WEST BLOOMFIELD at 1. CLARKSTON: The Wolves are coming off an emotional 31-28 win over Oxford last week. Clarkston has been rolling on all cylinders as of late. They'll see a Lakers program that has struggled with penalties and discipline which was evident in their stunning 28-20 loss to Bloomfield Hills last week. West Bloomfield has the athletes to pull what would be an insane upset. The Wolves are systematically sound which will make things very tough for the Lakers and it's at Clarkston as well.

7. ROCHESTER at 2. STONEY CREEK: The Falcons should have all the motivation coming into this game with Stoney Creek. Rochester lost in overtime two years ago and were humiliated 35-0 by the Cougars on their home field last season. The Cougars have been going along with their business. This should be a very interesting game at Stoney Creek this week.

6. ADAMS at 3. OXFORD: The Wildcats are coming off a tough 31-28 loss to Clarkston while the Highlanders are coming off an emotional postseason saving 21-17 win at Lake Orion last week. Both coaching staffs know each other quite well despite a mismatch in talent. This should be a very interesting game.

WATERFORD MOTT at 4. HARPER WOODS: The Pioneers are red hot since their 29-20 loss to Chelsea in week one. Harper Woods has figured some things out and are rolling on both sides of the football. The Corsairs had to survive 17-14 against Southfield Arts and Tech last week. This looks like it's going to be a tough one for Waterford Mott in Beaconsfield.

5. FERNDALE at PONTIAC: The Eagles are coming into this game with historic numbers outscoring their last three opponents 171-0. The Phoenix are in a tough spot coming into this game. This is going to be tough for Pontiac.

8. LAKE ORION at TROY: The Dragons did themselves no favors after falling 21-17 to Adams last week. Lake Orion needs to get back to basics which they have a chance to do so this week and get back into the postseason conversation where they are on the outside looking in at the moment. The Colts are coming off a very tough 37-3 loss to Rochester last week and it's Troy's homecoming as well. This could be a good week for the Dragons to get back on track and play some depth players to give them depth that they will need later into the season.

SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH at 9. SEAHOLM: The Maples are coming off an emotional 21-20 win over Oak Park last week. The Warriors played much better despite falling 17-14 to Waterford Mott last week. This should be a very interesting game.

10. GROVES at OAK PARK: The coaching matchup is a great one between Coach Brendan Flaherty and Coach Greg Carter. Both of these teams are very similar to the other with big wins and tough losses. This should be a fun matchup in Knight Valley.

TROY ATHENS at BLOOMFIELD HILLS: The Black Hawks are coming off an emotional 28-20 win in the Battle of Bloomfield over West Bloomfield last week. The Red Hawks fell 49-10 to Stoney Creek on their homecoming. The skill players positions should be very interesting to watch in this game. The trenches could also be as well.

ROYAL OAK at BERKLEY: There is nothing like the Battle of Woodward to watch between two schools and fan bases that don't like each other. The Bears in a lot of Ravens fans and players minds cost them a trip to the postseason with their stunning 38-10 win at Royal Oak last season. Berkley has seemed to have turned things around since their 0-3 start. Royal Oak is in a very interesting spot because we don't know which Ravens team will show up. This should be an electric atmosphere at Hurley Field.

AVONDALE at WATERFORD KETTERING: These are two teams that are coming off very bad losses. The Yellow Jackets fell 74-0 to Ferndale last week. The Captains fell 28-7 to Berkley and has scored 20 points in four weeks. This should be a very interesting matchup of two different styles.

Royal Oak: The Ravens earned a 41-12 win over Pontiac on Friday night. Royal Oak has bounced back in a big way after a tough 22-20 loss to Avondale last week. They have Berkley looming next week.

Waterford Kettering: The Captains are coming off a tough 28-7 loss to Berkley at Hurley Field on Friday night. Waterford Kettering has really struggled lately scoring 20 points in four weeks. They have Avondale looming next week.

Waterford Mott: The Corsairs are coming off a 17-14 win over Southfield Arts and Tech on Friday night. Waterford Mott has been a mess despite winning over the Warriors. They have Harper Woods looming next week.

Southfield Arts and Tech: The Warriors were competitive falling 17-14 to Waterford Mott on Friday night. Southfield Arts and Tech has been getting better despite their struggles. They have Seaholm looming next week.

Harper Woods: The Pioneers were really impressive in a 41-13 win over Groves on Friday night. Harper Woods is clicking on all cylinders right now. They have Waterford Mott looming next week.

Groves: The Falcons are coming off a tough 41-13 loss to Harper Woods on Friday night. Groves needs to get back to the drawing board and fix some things after getting outscored 25-6 in the second half. They have Oak Park looming next week.

Oak Park: The Knights had a tough 21-20 loss to Seaholm on Friday night in Knight Valley. Oak Park should be fine despite the loss. They have Groves looming next week.

Seaholm: The Maples have been a team of inches falling 14-13 to Groves last week but going into Knight Valley and winning 21-20 over Oak Park on Friday night. Seaholm has been rolling lately. They have Southfield Arts and Tech looming next week.

Rochester: The Falcons earned a 37-3 win over Troy on Friday night. Rochester is rolling right now. They have Stoney Creek looming next week.

Troy Athens: The Red Hawks had a tough 49-10 loss to Stoney Creek on Friday night which was their homecoming. It was a rough night for Troy Athens. They have Bloomfield Hills looming next week.

Bloomfield Hills: The Black Hawks made a statement winning the Battle of Bloomfield 28-20 over bitter rival West Bloomfield on Friday night. Kaden Cherkosky had four tush push touchdowns. This is a big win for Coach Scott Merchant and Bloomfield Hills. They have Troy Athens looming next week.

West Bloomfield: The Lakers are in serious trouble after falling 28-20 to Bloomfield Hills on Friday night. Penalties have been dooming West Bloomfield all season and their defense has been an issue. The Lakers need to likely win out if they want to make the postseason. They have Clarkston looming next week.

Oxford: The Wildcats took a tough 31-28 loss to Clarkston on Friday night. Oxford will be fine going forward. They have Adams looming next week.

Clarkston: The Wolves earned a homecoming 31-28 win over Oxford on Friday night. Clarkston is rolling right now. They have West Bloomfield looming next week.

Adams: The Highlanders were embarrassed by Clarkston 45-0 last week but they got a season saving 21-17 win over Lake Orion on Friday night which kept their postseason hopes alive. Adams has a tough road ahead of them with Oxford and Stoney Creek on the horizon.

Lake Orion: The Dragons errors, penalties, bad habits, and mistakes offensively returned on Friday night as they fell 21-17 to Adams on Friday night. The offense really struggled while the defense was on the field way too long. Lake Orion still controls its destiny when it comes to the postseason with them on the outside looking in but they need to likely win out and it's not easy. They have Troy looming next week.

Week Six Rankings.

Week Five Games.

Written Saturday September 19th at 9:00 AM

Hartland at NOVI: It has been a rough two weeks for the Wildcats after getting outscored 85-13 in the last two weeks. Novi has to play Hartland that is rolling right now. The Eagles are coming off a surprising 36-21 win over Brighton last week. This is not a good matchup for the Wildcats at all.

NORTHVILLE at Plymouth: The Mustangs have been rolling lately, and they got the Baseline Jug back after blowing out archrival Novi 52-7 last week. The Wildcats survived archrival Canton 24-20 last week and has been living on the edge as of late. This should be a very interesting matchup.

CLAWSON at Eastpointe: The Trojans are coming off a humiliating 58-13 home loss to Algonac on Friday night. The good news for Clawson is they are heading on the road to play Eastpointe. The Shamrocks have really struggled but have been competitive. This should be a very interesting matchup, which Trojans team shows up will be the key.

River Rouge at GRAND BLANC: This is the Bobcats homecoming??? taking on a tough River Rouge program that has been up and down lately, playing a tough schedule, and well coached under Jermaine Crowell. Grand Blanc has been rolling on both sides of the football and look to have no signs of letting up anytime soon. This should be a very interesting matchup at "The Don."

DAVISON at Saginaw: The Cardinals have been rolling since their humbling loss to Novi Detroit Catholic Central in week two. The defense is still an issue for Davison despite rolling offensively. The Phoenix have been up and down. They fell 28-12 to Flint Powers Catholic last week. This is a tough matchup for Saginaw against a good Cardinals program.

1. OXFORD at 2. CLARKSTON: This game will likely decide who wins the Red. Both have been battle tested, both are experienced, and both are solid up front. This has always been a battle, and we remember the postseason game in 2021 when the Wildcats went into Clarkston and shocked them in the first round. Could history repeat itself on Clarkston's Homecoming or will the Wolves continue their dominance over the league???

3. STONEY CREEK at TROY ATHENS: The Cougars are rolling since their heartbreaking 14-7 loss to Clarkston in week two. Stoney Creek has given his second and third string a ton of time which has helped heading into the future, but they have their city rivals awaiting in the next two weeks after this game. The Red Hawks earned a 35-0 win over archrival Troy last week. This should be a very interesting matchup especially up front and it's also Troy Athens homecoming as well.

4. HARPER WOODS at 5. GROVES: This game should decide the Blue. The Falcons escaped with a 14-13 win over Seaholm last week behind a Jeremiah Whitley 15-yard rushing touchdown. Groves has been really competitive with the Pioneers however they fell 35-8 at Beaconsfield last season. Harper Woods has outscored their last three opponents 163-18 in the last three weeks ever since their 29-20 loss to Chelsea in week one. This should be a very interesting matchup between two teams that know each other well.

9. ADAMS at 6. LAKE ORION: The Dragons and Highlanders have had battles in the past. This should be no different. Lake Orion fell 29-27 to Adams in Rochester last season. The Highlanders were humiliated at home by Clarkston falling 45-0 last week. The Dragons are coming off a 42-0 win over West Bloomfield in the Swamp. This should be a very interesting game which could have big postseason implications.

7. SEAHOLM at 10. OAK PARK: This should be a fun game with two different styles and they have experience. The Maples are looking to avenge their heartbreaking 14-13 loss to archrival Groves last week. The Knights have confidence after winning 20-10 at Waterford Mott last week. This should be a fun game in Knight Valley.

AVONDALE at 8. FERNDALE: This could be a very interesting game in Ferndale. The Eagles have shutout their last two opponents 98-0 which included a 50-0 win over Waterford Kettering last week. The Yellow Jackets are coming off an emotional 22-20 upset win over Royal Oak last week. This should be a very interesting matchup as mentioned.

WEST BLOOMFIELD at BLOOMFIELD HILLS: The Battle of Bloomfield is very interesting with both teams struggling. The Lakers are coming off a shocking 42-0 loss to Lake Orion in the Swamp. The Black Hawks have not been the same since their loss to Lake Orion in week two falling 48-7. They fell 56-0 to Stoney Creek last week. This should be a very interesting game especially up front and if West Bloomfield can be disciplined.

TROY at ROCHESTER: These are two teams that are heading in opposite directions and I'm not sure if this is Rochester's homecoming. The Falcons are fine despite falling 42-0 to Oxford last week. The Colts there are just no words after getting blown out at home by your archrival Troy Athens 35-0 last week then they have Lake Orion looming next week. It's going to be a tough two weeks for the Colts.

WATERFORD MOTT at SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH: There is really no words to explain the Corsairs offense that has scored 30 points in the last two weeks and had a second half disaster in a 20-10 loss to Oak Park last week. The Warriors are really struggling after allowing 61 points to Harper Woods last week. This should be a very interesting game.

WATERFORD KETTERING at BERKLEY: These are two teams that are in similar boats. The Bears have struggled starting 0-3 but won 21-0 over Pontiac last week which was the first win for Coach Dan Earls. The Captains have really struggled on both sides of the football. Waterford Kettering scored 13 points in the last three weeks. This should be a very interesting game.

PONTIAC at ROYAL OAK: This could be homecoming week for the Ravens after getting upset 22-20 by Avondale last week. The Phoenix have been struggling to score offensively. This could be a very interesting game but we'll see.

9. Adams: The Highlanders are coming off a tough 45-0 loss to Clarkston on Friday night. This was a huge setback for Coach Tony Patritto and Adams and they have a tough matchup looming with Lake Orion next week.

10. Oak Park: The Knights were impressive winning 20-10 over Waterford Mott last week. Oak Park has been competitive despite two tough losses to two very good teams in Grand Rapids Catholic Central and Harper Woods. They have Seaholm in a very interesting game next week.

Half of the OAA did not score a point this week.

Rochester: The Falcons had a tough 42-0 loss to Oxford on Friday night. Rochester struggled to maintain drives against a very good Oxford defense. The Falcons will be fine despite this loss. They have Troy looming next week.

Lake Orion: The Dragons sent a statement scoring on their first four possessions in a stunning 42-0 win over West Bloomfield on Friday night in the Swamp. Lake Orion for a night looked like the Dragons of the past. They have Adams looming next week.

West Bloomfield: The Lakers discipline really hurt them in their shocking 42-0 loss to Lake Orion on Friday night in the Swamp on their Family Fun Night. West Bloomfield has some concerns up front and penalties hurt them as well in their loss as mentioned. The Lakers have a ton of issues to address. They have Bloomfield Hills in the Battle of Bloomfield looming next week.

Clarkston: The Wolves sent a statement winning 45-0 over Adams on Friday night in Rochester. Alex Waszezenko was the story all night for Clarkston. The Wolves were also stout defensively on Coach Justin Pintar's birthday. They have Oxford looming next week.

Week Eight Games.

Written Saturday October 10th at 9:45 AM Here are the games for week eight. Plymouth Salem at NORTHVILLE: The Mustangs are back on track aft...
