ADAMS 14, WEST BLOOMFIELD 13. It was a tale of two games in Rochester. The Highlanders stunned the Lakers for 14 unanswered points in a stunning 14-13 victory on Friday night. It looked like it was going to be a long night for the Adams defense after Dillion Tatum added two rushing touchdowns early to take a 13-0 lead into the half. The Highlanders wouldn’t bend after that. The Adams defense shut out West Bloomfield in the second half led by Alex DeGrieck. Parker Picot led the comeback in the third quarter scoring from one yard out while Griffin Henke scored the winning touchdown from one yard out and the extra point from Colin Timpko gave Adams the lead for good. Picot added an interception in the game as well Adams would stop Tatum on the wildcat on fourth down but the West Bloomfield defense gave themselves another chance to win the game by stopping the Highlanders but the Adams defense came through and survived. The Highlanders beat the Lakers for the second time this season by a combined 49-30. They will face Grand Blanc next week in an interesting matchup of two different styles at Howell. West Bloomfield should be motivated next season.
