These are the official districts that were released.

District 6 @ Clarkston

CLARKSTON

Grand Blanc

Lapeer

Swartz Creek

 

PROJECTED TOP TWO SEEDS: 1. Clarkston, 2. Grand Blanc.

EARLY THOUGHTS: This is a very interesting district. Clarkston is the early favorite with their tradition but Grand Blanc and Oxford should have strong says. I don’t see Davison, Flushing, Lapeer, or Swartz Creek being competitive in this district.

 

District 7 @ North Farmington

PROJECTED TOP TWO SEEDS: 1. Seaholm, 2. Livonia Stevenson.

EARLY THOUGHTS: This is a very interesting district. Seaholm and Bloomfield Hills stand out but watch for Livonia Stevenson. The Spartans could have a strong say as well but right now this looks like a three team district.

District 14 @ Troy Athens

PROJECTED TOP TWO SEEDS: 1. Troy, 2. Berkley.

EARLY THOUGHTS: This is a loaded district. Three teams really stand out in Troy, Troy Athens, and Berkley. Groves is the wildcard in the district. This one should be very interesting to watch.

 

District 15 @ Rochester

PROJECTED TOP TWO SEEDS: 1. Utica Eisenhower, 2. Adams.

EARLY THOUGHTS: This is a very tough district. All seven schools have a great chance to win this district. The three Rochester schools and Utica Eisenhower really stand out. I think it’s anyone’s district but four teams stand out.

 

District 25 @ Grosse Pointe North

PROJECTED TOP TWO SEEDS: 1. Grosse Pointe North, 2. Ferndale.

EARLY THOUGHTS: This should be a very interesting district. Grosse Pointe North is the early favorite with their experience but Ferndale could have a say. Hamtramck is a darkhorse and St. Clair Shores South Lake is a wildcard. I don’t see Warren Fitzgerald, Detroit Renaissance, or Eastpointe really threatening in this district.

 

District 27 @ Waterford Kettering

PROJECTED TOP TWO SEEDS: 1. Birmingham Brother Rice, 2. Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood.

EARLY THOUGHTS: This district should be very interesting and competitive. Birmingham Brother Rice is the early favorite in the district after making the Division Two State Finals last season. Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood wants another shot at the Warriors also Waterford Kettering comes from Division One and Avondale and Pontiac are solid teams. Orchard Lake St. Marys will be very interesting and Madison Heights Lamphere is solid. This should be a very tough district as mentioned to watch.
