The stage is set for the Division One State Finals on Friday afternoon at Michigan State.
Bloomfield Hills will make their first ever State Finals appearance when they play Northville for the crown.
The Blackhawks are coming off a 1-0 victory over Portage Central on Tuesday afternoon at Grand Ledge. The Mustangs beat Rochester 2-1 on Tuesday afternoon at Troy Athens.
It has been a crazy ride for Bloomfield Hills. They were near the bottom of the Red standings but have really played their best soccer of the season in the postseason. The Blackhawks have wins over Waterford Mott, Walled Lake Northern, Lake Orion, Hartland, and Portage Central.
Bloomfield Hills game plan has to be simple, play loose and play with nothing to lose. If they do that then they could be holding the big mitten at the end of Saturday but Northville won't be an easy matchup. The Mustangs are undefeated coming into this game so it will be very important for the Blackhawks to stay loose.
PREDICTION: I thought it would had been an all Red final but Rochester fell to Northville. I did lay out other scenarios on the podcast if these two teams played each other and they are. I think the Blackhawks win this game over the Mustangs. They are loose and riding with a ton of confidence and being loose is the most dangerous heading into the postseason because they have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
