We are in the final week of the 2021-2022 School Year for Sports. Could we see an all Red final??? it's possible. Here is my preview for the Division One State Semifinals coming up on Tuesday night.
BLOOMFIELD HILLS vs Portage Central 6 PM at Grand Ledge
The Blackhawks have a ton of confidence heading west. Bloomfield Hills earned their first regional crown in school history when they shocked defending Division One State Champ Hartland 2-1 in the regional final on Thursday night at Novi. The Blackhawks have a very interesting matchup with Portage Central on Tuesday night in Grand Ledge. The Mustangs beat Hudsonville 1-0 on Thursday night at Caledonia. It should be very interesting with travel for both teams. One team has to travel I-96 west while the other travels I-94 east to I-69 for this game. The Blackhawks are playing with nothing to lose and everything to gain in this matchup.
ROCHESTER vs Northville 7 PM at Troy Athens
It's a battle of unbeatens on Tuesday night at Troy Athens between the Falcons and the Mustangs. Rochester kept their undefeated record intact with a 1-0 victory over Troy Athens on Thursday night in the regional finals at Adams. Northville earned a 5-0 regional final victory over Belleville on Friday night on their home field. The Falcons should know the Red Hawks home field quite well being in the Red and playing against Troy Athens even though the game this season was at Rochester. Both teams have played very well. Someone is going to the State Final while the other is going home with their first loss.
