Week Six Thoughts.

Written Friday September 30th at 11:30 PM

West Bloomfield: The Lakers bounced back on homecoming behind the play of Semaj Morgan and Kenny Jones in a 41-14 win over Lake Orion on Friday night. West Bloomfield has Oxford in the Swamp next week.

Adams: The Highlanders are rolling right now. They earned a 33-7 win over Oxford on Friday night. Adams has Stoney Creek looming next week.

Clarkston: The Wolves earned a hard fought 28-14 homecoming win over Stoney Creek on Friday night. Clarkston has been rolling as of late led by the play of quarterback Mike Hein and running back Ethan Clark. They have Lake Orion looming next week.

Lake Orion: The Dragons were just blitzkrieg all night by West Bloomfield falling 41-14 in the Swamp. Lake Orion had flashbacks of Adams and Utica Eisenhower at the same time in that game. The Dragons have a big one looming with Clarkston next week.

Stoney Creek: The Cougars lost a tough one to Clarkston 28-14 on Friday night. Jon Fogler made his return this week. Stoney Creek has another tough one looming with Adams next week.

Oxford: The Wildcats had a tough time with Adams on Friday night falling 33-7. The schedule does not get any easier for Oxford as they head to the Swamp next week.

Southfield Arts and Tech: The Warriors stranglehold on the White is almost complete with a 49-7 win over Bloomfield Hills. Southfield Arts and Tech’s defense has only allowed 14 points in the last two games. They have Oak Park looming next week.

Harper Woods: The Pioneers have lost their last two games by a combined nine points including a 15-12 loss to Groves on Friday night. Harper Woods has Bloomfield Hills looming next week.

Groves: The Falcons bounced back by earning a hard fought 15-12 win over Harper Woods on Friday night. Groves has a tough schedule ahead of them. They have Rochester looming next week.

Rochester: The Falcons are rolling right now and they won 26-6 over Oak Park on Friday night. Rochester is clicking at the right time. They have Groves looming next week.

Bloomfield Hills: The Blackhawks had things very rough on Friday night. Bloomfield Hills fell 49-7 on their homecoming to Southfield Arts and Tech. The Blackhawks have Harper Woods looming next week.

Oak Park: The Knights had a really tough 26-6 loss to Rochester on Friday night in Knight Valley. The schedule gets much tougher going forward for Oak Park. They have Southfield Arts and Tech looming next week.

Seaholm: The Maples put any hopes on anybody catching them to bed with a 52-0 statement over Troy on Friday night. If there is any doubt about Seaholm put it to bed. The black jerseys need some work though. They have Berkley looming next week.

North Farmington: Ryan Shelby made his return at quarterback and the Raiders were more than glad to have him back in a 28-7 victory over Troy Athens on Friday night. Shelby whom had an ACL injury last November had a big night for North Farmington against a very good defense. They have Avondale looming next week.

Farmington: The Falcons bounced back by beating Pontiac 49-0 on their homecoming Friday night. Dominic Peshi and Cam Pettaway had big nights. Farmington had a very tough loss falling 16-14 to Troy last week. They have Ferndale looming next week.

Troy:  The Colts defense had a rough night allowing 52 points which the most allowed all season in a 52-0 blowout loss to Seaholm. Troy needs to bounce back with Royal Oak looming next week.

Troy Athens: The Red Hawks had a really tough loss falling 28-7 to North Farmington on Friday night. They have Pontiac looming next week.

Berkley:  It has been a really rough season for the Bears but I owe them an apology for what they did on Friday night. Berkley kept the Battle of Woodward street sign for another season with a 30-7 win at Hurley Field over Royal Oak. Maybe this turns their season around. The Bears have a very tough matchup looming against Seaholm at Hurley Field next week.

Avondale: The Yellow Jackets Gold hopes took a hit with a tough 21-10 loss to Avondale on Friday night. Avondale has a tough matchup looming with North Farmington next week.

Royal Oak: The Ravens fell 30-7 to arch rival Berkley in the Battle of Woodward on Friday night. Royal Oak had their chances but it wasn’t meant to be. They have Troy looming next week.

Pontiac: The Phoenix had a tough one falling 49-0 to Farmington on Friday night. They have another tough matchup looming with Troy Athens next week.

Ferndale: The Eagles control their own destiny in the Gold after a 21-10 win over Avondale on Friday night. Ferndale is looking really good in the division. They have a big one looming with Farmington next week.
