Volleyball State Quarterfinal Preview.

BERKLEY vs Northville @ Royal Oak Middle School

This is a unique situation for the Bears. Berkley earned their first ever regional title with a four game win over Grosse Pointe South at Detroit Renaissance. This will be a much tougher matchup going up against second ranked Northville. The Mustangs have been rolling and they have wins over Novi and Farmington Hills Mercy in the postseason. This will be the toughest matchup to date for the Bears. Berkley needs to come into this matchup loose and play with nothing to lose and everything to gain against a very proven powerhouse program.

 

CLARKSTON vs Birmingham Marian @ St. Clair Community College 

This should be a very interesting matchup at St. Clair Community College. The Wolves have been playing very good volleyball ever since their five game win over Lake Orion in the district finals. Clarkston rolled in their regional in White Lake beating Lakeland and Grand Blanc both in three games. Birmingham Marian is coming in the top ranked team in the State. The Mustangs have been dominant since falling to Northville in the Beast of the East a few weeks ago. If the Wolves want to get back to Battle Creek then they will have to go through the Defending Division One State Champs which is going to be very tough in its own right.
