The Troy Athens Red Hawks are back in the State Semifinals.
They had to survive Troy in the district finals, then Utica Eisenhower in the regional semifinals, both on penalties, then they had to survive Macomb Dakota which they scored two goals in overtime to win that game in the regional finals.
Now they are in the State Semifinals.
Troy Athens will face Saline in the Division One State Semifinals on Wednesday night at Seaholm.
The winner will face Byron Center or Northville in the Division One State Finals on Saturday at Michigan State.
The Hornets knocked off Salem 4-0 in the regional finals to get to this matchup.
The Red Hawks and Saline have not met in the regular season but these are two teams that know each other quite well historically.
We'll see what happens.
