Predictions can be found on the Around the OAA website.

Games are Thursday unless noted.
DAVISON at Novi Detroit Catholic Central (Friday): The Cardinals were very impressive in a 28-8 win over Roseville at Atwood Stadium, Maximus Persails is the quarterback of the future and got a strong game from Braylon Green for Davison. They get a daunting task heading to Novi to play Novi Detroit Catholic Central. The Shamrocks blew out Chippewa Valley 55-0 at Tom Adams Field at Wayne State last week. This could get very ugly for the Cardinals.
Flint Carman Ainsworth at GRAND BLANC: The Bobcats are coming off a 24-23 win over Belleville after surviving a two-point attempt by the Tigers to win the game last week. The Cavaliers survived a 44-26 win over Bay City Western in what was an offensive shootout last week. Flint Carman Ainsworth knows Grand Blanc is a different animal and it's the first game of the Saginaw Valley League South/Red play for both teams. It's going to be a tough matchup for the Cavaliers heading to "The Don" to play the Bobcats.
NOVI at Plymouth Salem: This is a huge game for both teams in Plymouth. The Wildcats are coming off a rough 55-22 loss to Traverse City Central. The Rocks survived 27-21 over Utica Henry Ford II last week. This is a big game for both teams as mentioned and particularly for Novi who wants to avoid a 0-2 start for the second straight season.
NORTHVILLE at Plymouth Canton: The Mustangs are coming off a hard fought 31-28 double overtime win over Lake Orion last week. The Cobras lost 27-8 to Livonia Churchill last week. This looks like a complete mismatch on paper. Northville looks prime to be 2-0 this week against a struggling Plymouth Canton squad.
CLAWSON at Center Line: The Trojans are coming off an impressive 41-0 win over Detroit Pershing last week. Center Line is coming off a 32-14 win over St. Clair Shores South Lake last week. This should be a very interesting game of two teams that are looking to get off to a 2-0 start heading into Labor Day weekend.
3. CLARKSTON at 1. STONEY CREEK: This might be the biggest game in Cougars history when Clarkston comes to Rochester this week. Stoney Creek is coming off an impressive 34-23 win over Utica Eisenhower last week. The Cougars used their 29-20 win over Lake Orion as a statement win in week two last season, a win over the Wolves would be a huge statement. Clarkston is coming off an impressive 37-16 win over South Lyon in Ann Arbor last week. The quarterback and rushing attack matchup should be very interesting. This should be a fun matchup to watch.
2. OXFORD at TROY ATHENS: The Wildcats and Red Hawks played a classic with Oxford surviving 31-28 at Wildcat Stadium last season. These two teams are different this season. Oxford is coming off a 28-0 win over Hartland last week behind the play of their new quarterback Michael King who threw three touchdown passes. Troy Athens is coming off a 27-19 loss to Waterford Mott after having a 10-7 halftime lead last week. This should be a Wildcats blowout or another close game on the horizon.
AVONDALE at 4. WATERFORD MOTT: The Corsairs had trouble in the first half against Troy Athens but outscored the Red Hawks 22-9 in the second half earning a 27-19 win over the Red Hawks last week. The Yellow Jackets really struggled defensively against Walled Lake Northern falling 48-15 last week. Coaches Isiah Goldrane and Tra'Jan Seay are really close friends, but this looks like it's a tough matchup on paper for Avondale against a really talented Waterford Mott squad.
6. ADAMS at ROCHESTER: This is the Falcon Frenzy game. This could be the Falcons best chance to beat their archrivals since 1996. The Highlanders fell to Romeo 17-10 in a hard-fought game last week, after trailing 14-0 early Adams calmed down, despite the loss to the Bulldogs there were some positives to take. Rochester struggled with Macomb Lutheran North winning 21-0 last week. That's a warning sign especially with a desperate team like Adams coming in that is looking for their first win of the season. This should be a good game.
5. HARPER WOODS at 9. FERNDALE: This could be a really sneaky good game. The Eagles are coming off an impressive 36-12 win over Madison Heights Lamphere last week. They'll be challenged this week when Harper Woods comes to Ferndale. The Pioneers were shell shocked falling to Chelsea 29-20 last week. The lines should be very interesting to watch between these two teams. It's a measuring stick game for Ferndale while for Harper Woods this is a chance for them to bounce back and turn things around.
TROY at 7. WEST BLOOMFIELD: These are two teams that are coming off losses. The Lakers are coming off a tough 14-13 loss to Dearborn Fordson last week after a botched snap in the second quarter on the extra point proved to be costly to West Bloomfield's chances. The Colts are coming off a tough 13-6 loss to Grosse Pointe North last week. This looks like a complete mismatch from a talent perspective and it's in "The Swamp."
BLOOMFIELD HILLS at 8. LAKE ORION: This is a very interesting coaching matchup between Coaches Scott Merchant and Chris Bell. The Black Hawks are coming off a 42-0 win over Macomb L'Anse Creuse which gave Merchant a chance to play their second string a lot last week. The Dragons are coming off a tough 38-31 double overtime loss to Northville last week. They have injuries on the offensive line which is concerning and it's unknown if any of them will play this week. This should be a very interesting game between two teams that are finding their way early in the season.
10. GROVES at BERKLEY: These are two teams that are coming off losses. The Falcons lost a heartbreaker after missing a 20-yard field goal which went hit the left post falling 14-13 to North Farmington at Tom Adams Field at Wayne State last week. The Bears were blown out 42-0 by Livonia Franklin last week. This could be a get-well game for Groves and they have one of the best running backs in the State in Jeremiah Whitley. This could get ugly at Hurley Field.
SEAHOLM at ROYAL OAK: The Ravens are coming off an impressive 28-6 win over St. Clair Shores Lake Shore last week. Royal Oak should get a test with the Maples coming to town. Seaholm fell 30-13 to Milford but the Mavericks played a backup quarterback and allowed three touchdowns to their top wide receiver last week. The Maples need to prove something or 0-2 looks very real.
WATERFORD KETTERING at OAK PARK (Friday): This is a big game for both these teams. The Captains are coming off an impressive 20-6 win over Livonia Clarenceville last week. The Knights are coming off a tough 24-12 loss to Grand Rapids Catholic Central last week. This should be a really competitive game between these two up and coming teams in Knight Valley.
PONTIAC at SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH: This is a must win game for both teams for confidences sakes. The Phoenix were blown out by Detroit Community 40-6 last week. The Warriors were blown out by East Kentwood 55-0 last week. Whoever wins this game will be 1-1 heading into Labor Day weekend with some confidence heading into league play.
