Week Two Rankings.

Here are the rankings for week two.

1. Stoney Creek (1-0): The Cougars did their job winning over Utica Eisenhower 34-23. Stoney Creek was very efficient offensively against a traditionally very good Eagles defense. They have a big test awaiting them with Clarkston comes into Rochester on Thursday.

2. Oxford (1-0): The Wildcats might have got rid of the white pants curse that has haunted the program since the Coach Bud Rowley days with a 28-0 win at Hartland on Thursday night. Michael King looks like he's the answer at quarterback and everything has started to come together. Oxford has Troy Athens looming this week.

3. Clarkston (1-0): The Wolves were very impressive in a 37-16 win over South Lyon on Friday night. Kierran Riddle is becoming a star at running back with 11 carries for 124 yards and two touchdowns against a good Lions defense. Alex Waszcezenko and Ty Duffy were solid combining for five touchdowns. Clarkston has a huge game looming with Stoney Creek on Thursday.

4. Waterford Mott (1-0): The Corsairs had a rough start in the first half against Troy Athens on Thursday night trailing 10-7 at halftime only to outscore the Red Hawks 22-9 in the second half to win 27-19 over Troy Athens. It's going to take time for Waterford Mott to adjust to life in the OAA as seen by the first half. The Corsairs have Avondale looming on Thursday.

5. Harper Woods (0-1): The Pioneers had an inexcusable 29-20 loss to Chelsea on Thursday afternoon. The defensive line is a serious concern and something to watch. Dakota Guerrant and DeAndre Bidden played well but they need the rest of the roster to step up if they want to make some noise. Harper Woods still has lofty goals and expectations. It just got much harder for the Pioneers especially if they get to the postseason, it may not go through Beaconsfield with the loss to the Bulldogs. Harper Woods has Ferndale looming this week.

6. Adams (0-1): The Highlanders hung tough with Romeo falling 17-10 at Ann Arbor on Saturday night. Adams trailed 14-0 early which ended up being the difference of the game. They calmed down and made some plays against a really good Bulldogs defense despite struggling at times offensively. Adams did just enough defensively to keep themselves in the game. Despite the loss the Highlanders resiliency kept them in the game. The Highlanders should be fine going forward. They have Rochester looming on Thursday in the Falcon Frenzy Game.

7. West Bloomfield (0-1): The Lakers had a heartbreaking 14-13 loss to Dearborn Fordson on Friday night. West Bloomfield's penalties and injuries on the offensive line along with a bad snap on the extra point hurt and cost West Bloomfield. They have an opportunity to clean things up with Troy on Thursday in the Swamp.

8. Lake Orion (0-1): The Dragons had a tough 38-31 double overtime loss to Northville on Thursday night. There were a lot of positives offensively and defensively along with a lot to clean up. The injuries on the offensive line is a concern and something to watch with Lake Orion. The Dragons can't afford to start 0-2 for the second straight season. They have a must win game on Thursday against Bloomfield Hills at Dragon Stadium.

9. Ferndale (1-0): The Eagles enter the rankings after winning 36-12 over Madison Heights Lamphere on Thursday night. Ferndale's defense was strong against the Rams holding them to 12 points. The Eagles have a big test awaiting them when Harper Woods comes to Ferndale on Thursday.

10. Groves (0-1): The Falcons had the game in control against North Farmington at Wayne State on Friday afternoon then a questionable two-point attempt put Groves having a six-point lead instead of a seven-point lead. The Raiders score a touchdown in the fourth quarter and took the lead, but the Falcons had a chance to win it only to see the 20-yard field goal attempt hit the left goal post giving North Farmington a 14-13 win over Groves. The Falcons should be fine but there are some concerns heading into their game with Berkley on Thursday.

Rest of teams 11-22

11. Oak Park (0-1): The Knights had a strong effort against Grand Rapids Catholic Central falling 24-12 on Saturday afternoon in Grand Rapids. Oak Park got a touchdown run from Ivann Burrow and it's clear they are better than last season. The Knights have Waterford Kettering looming on Friday.

12. Bloomfield Hills (1-0): It's hard to judge the Black Hawks after a 42-0 win over Macomb L'Anse Creuse on Thursday night. The Lancers are not very good, but Bloomfield Hills handled their business. We'll know a lot about the Black Hawks when they play Lake Orion on Thursday.

13. Rochester (1-0): The Falcons had a good 21-0 win over Macomb L'Anse Creuse North, but something doesn't feel right with Rochester. There are some concerns with the Crusaders going 0-9 last night and having a new coach, the Falcons didn't look right could they be looking ahead to next week??? They have a big test with Adams on Thursday.

14. Royal Oak (1-0): The Ravens were impressive in a 28-6 win over St. Clair Shores Lake Shore. Royal Oak has some questions still, but they are at 1-0. They have Seaholm looming on Thursday.

15. Waterford Kettering (1-0): The Bob Meyer affect is real in a 20-6 Captains win over Livonia Clarenceville. Waterford Kettering is in a much better place under Meyer. They have a test with Oak Park on Friday.

16. Seaholm (0-1): The Maples allowed 14 points in the fourth quarter in a 30-13 loss to Milford. They didn't have to play the Mavericks top quarterback, but their backup had two passing touchdowns while their star wide receiver had three total touchdowns. Not a good look for Seaholm heading into their game with Royal Oak on Thursday.

17. Troy Athens (0-1): The Red Hawks had a strong first half but a rough second half against Waterford Mott falling 27-19 on Thursday night. Troy Athens has a tough matchup looming with Oxford on Thursday.

18. Southfield Arts and Tech (0-1): The Warriors had it tough, falling 55-0 to East Kentwood on Thursday night. Southfield Arts and Tech have a big game looming with Pontiac on Thursday.

19. Troy (0-1): The Colts struggled against Grosse Pointe North falling 13-6 on Thursday night. The offense needs to find a grove but it's going to be tough with West Bloomfield looming on Thursday

20. Berkley (0-1): The Bears had a rough 42-0 loss to Livonia Franklin. Berkley is going through a transition period, and it doesn't get any easier with Groves looming this week.

21. Avondale (0-1): The Yellow Jackets took a really bad 48-15 loss to Walled Lake Northern on Thursday night. Avondale is 1-9 in their last ten games. The Yellow Jackets have Waterford Mott looming on Thursday.

22. Pontiac (0-1): The Phoenix really struggled against Detroit Community falling 40-6 on Thursday night. Pontiac will be fine going forward. They have Southfield Arts and Tech looming on Thursday.
