ADAMS 42, OXFORD 7. The Highlanders sent out a huge statement by blowing out Oxford 42-0 on Friday night on their home field. They beat the Wildcats 24-10 in week two but this game was worse. Parker Picot ran the veer offense to perfection with three rushing touchdowns and a 30 yard passing score to Joey Shallow. Griffin Henke and Nick Patterra had rushing scores for Adams. The Highlanders defense was dominant in this game as well in shutting down Oxford’s offense. Brady Carpenter added a 35 yard passing score to Tate Myre for their only score on the night. The Wildcats will have to replace a lot for next season. The Highlanders moves onto the regional finals where they will host West Bloomfield in a rematch of a 35-17 Adams win next week.
WEST BLOOMFIELD 35, Novi Detroit Catholic Central 21. The Lakers sent out a huge statement on Friday night by beating Novi Detroit Catholic Central 35-21 in the Swamp. Dillion Tatum is making a strong case for Mr. Football. He had 29 carries for 180 yards and three rushing touchdowns. Kenneth Jones added a four yard rushing score. Requan Nance also had a good game as well. He connected with DeAngelo Thomas on a 28 yard passing score. West Bloomfield's defense played well despite allowing 21 points and their discipline was much better than it was against Novi. This is a monster victory for West Bloomfield against a very strong program. They have a rematch with Adams on the road next week in the regional finals. The Highlanders beat the Lakers 35-17. This should be a very interesting game.
