Basketball Classic Roundup- 12/29.

Written Wednesday December 29th at 11:00 PM

Novi Detroit Catholic Central 74, Bloomfield Hills 36.

What happened to the Blackhawks on Wednesday night in the Motor City Roundball Classic???  I know that Novi Detroit Catholic Central is very good this season but I didn’t expect Bloomfield Hills to get blown out very similar to what happened in football when they fell 51-7 to the very same Shamrocks program in the first round of the postseason. The Blackhawks were blown out by Novi Detroit Catholic Central 74-36 at Ferndale sending them to a two game losing streak. Noah Adamcyzk led the charge with 20 points. The Blackhawks got tested to see where they are at. They should be fine going forward.

West Bloomfield 59, Flint 47.

The Lakers were struggling a bit with three close losses by a combined 24 points. They came into their game with Flint in the North Farmington Extravaganza looking for a much needed win. West Bloomfield ended up getting it and snapped a three game losing streak in the process by beating the Jaguars 59-47 on Wednesday afternoon. West Bloomfield is now 2-3 heading into the New Year. This is a good win for Coach Arnette Jordan whom is starting to put his stamp on the Lakers program.

North Farmington 66, Detroit Loyola 48.

The Raiders bounced back after their surprising 17 point loss to Williamston on Monday night by winning the final game of the North Farmington Extravaganza over Detroit Loyola 66-48 on Wednesday night. Ryan Hurst had 39 points in the game. Whenever Hurst plays well the Raiders seem to play well. North Farmington sits at 5-1 on the season after getting off of COVID-19 protocol this week. The Raiders have Clarkston looming next week.
