SANDY DUNES 21-13

BURNEY 19-15

DUNLAP 22-12

TIM 21-13

STICK 19-15

COTTER 26-8

1. West Bloomfield at 9. Stoney Creek: This is a rematch of a 24-10 Lakers win over the Cougars last season. It is also the Dutton Farms game. Stoney Creek needs to play the same exact game plan if they want to pull off the upset over West Bloomfield. The Lakers are loaded with proven talent. This should be very interesting.

SANDY DUNES: WEST BLOOMFIELD 42, STONEY CREEK 7.

BURNEY: WEST BLOOMFIELD 30, STONEY CREEK 20.

DUNLAP: WEST BLOOMFIELD 35, STONEY CREEK 7.

TIM: WEST BLOOMFIELD 49, STONEY CREEK 7.

STICK: WEST BLOOMFIELD over STONEY CREEK.

COTTER: WEST BLOOMFIELD 49, STONEY CREEK 14.

3. Clarkston at 2. Adams: This is a rematch of 2019 when the Highlanders came back from 27-14 down to stun the Wolves 28-27. Clarkston has several players whom were on that team. Adams has been rolling behind quarterback Parker Picot. The Wolves bounced back winning 62-56 over Southfield Arts and Tech last week. The Highlanders beat Rochester 34-18 last week in the Falcon Frenzy game. This game is on Bally Sports Extra which is more interesting. It’s a very interesting matchup to say the least.

SANDY DUNES: ADAMS 31, CLARKSTON 21.

BURNEY: ADAMS 33, CLARKSTON 27.

DUNLAP: ADAMS 24, CLARKSTON 14.

TIM: ADAMS 35, CLARKSTON 28.

STICK: ADAMS over CLARKSTON.

COTTER: ADAMS 35, CLARKSTON 14.

 4. Southfield Arts and Tech at 10. Harper Woods: This is the first meeting between the Pioneers and the Warriors. Southfield Arts and Tech is known for their high scoring games but their defense is prone to giving up a lot of points. The Warriors have scored 56 points each of the last two weeks but they allowed 110 points in the last two weeks. Harper Woods fell 33-14 to West Bloomfield last week. This should be a very interesting game in Harper Woods.

SANDY DUNES: SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 56, HARPER WOODS 42.

BURNEY: SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 54, HARPER WOODS 43.

DUNLAP: SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 42, HARPER WOODS 37.

TIM: SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 35, HARPER WOODS 14.

STICK: SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH over HARPER WOODS.

COTTER: SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 42, HARPER WOODS 35.

Avondale at 5. Seaholm: These are two teams that know each other well. The last time the Maples and Yellow Jackets met it was Seaholm that made it into the postseason with a 63-31 victory at Dick Bye Field. The quarterback matchup between Tyler Herzog and Colton Kinnie is very interesting. This should be a very good game in the Maple Forest.

SANDY DUNES: SEAHOLM 24, AVONDALE 20.

BURNEY: SEAHOLM 32, AVONDALE 23.

DUNLAP: SEAHOLM 27, AVONDALE 13.

TIM: SEAHOLM 35, AVONDALE 21.

STICK: AVONDALE over SEAHOLM.

COTTER: SEAHOLM 35, AVONDALE 13.

6. Lake Orion at 7. Oxford: This is a very interesting matchup of two teams that are coming off monster wins last week. Both teams have sophomore quarterbacks in Dominic Cassisse and Tristian Hill. The Wildcats gave the Dragons the most points allowed in a four quarter game in school history with 51 last season. Lake Orion has won the last two meetings in Oxford. This should be a very interesting game for the Double O Trophy.

SANDY DUNES: LAKE ORION 28, OXFORD 7.

BURNEY: LAKE ORION 35, OXFORD 31.

DUNLAP: LAKE ORION 24, OXFORD 21.

TIM: OXFORD 42, LAKE ORION 28.

STICK: LAKE ORION over OXFORD.

COTTER: LAKE ORION 28, OXFORD 14.

Farmington at 8. Troy Athens: This is a rematch of a 36-35 game last season which the Red Hawks won. It’s the third meeting all time between the two teams. It should be a very interesting matchup between quarterback Dominick Peshi and the Troy Athens defense. It should be a tight and good game.

SANDY DUNES: FARMINGTON 24, TROY ATHENS 21.

BURNEY: TROY ATHENS 28, FARMINGTON 27.

DUNLAP: TROY ATHENS 27, FARMINGTON 24.

TIM: TROY ATHENS 35, FARMINGTON 21.

STICK: TROY ATHENS over FARMINGTON.

COTTER: TROY ATHENS 28, FARMINGTON 21.

Rochester at Bloomfield Hills: These are two 0-2 teams that are looking for a much needed victory this week. The Falcons lost a heartbreaker to Utica in week one and was blown out by Adams both were at home. The Blackhawks lost both their meetings by a combined 80-28. Bloomfield Hills is 3-1 in the last four meetings against Rochester. This should be a very interesting matchup at Bloomfield Hills.

SANDY DUNES: ROCHESTER 40, BLOOMFIELD HILLS 14.

BURNEY: ROCHESTER 26, BLOOMFIELD HILLS 25.

DUNLAP: ROCHESTER 28, BLOOMFIELD HILLS 17.

TIM: ROCHESTER 35, BLOOMFIELD HILLS 14.

STICK: ROCHESTER over BLOOMFIELD HILLS.

COTTER: ROCHESTER 42, BLOOMFIELD HILLS 7.

Groves at Oak Park: Both of these schools are coming off tough losses last week. The Knights have the talent but they have to be better disciplined if they want to turn things around quickly. The Falcons lost a tough one to Oxford last week but they found their rushing attack. Groves needs to be more balanced and not just rely on their rushing game. This should be a tight game.

SANDY DUNES: OAK PARK 20, GROVES 17.

BURNEY: GROVES 29, OAK PARK 22.

DUNLAP: GROVES 28, OAK PARK 13.

TIM: GROVES 35, OAK PARK 7.

STICK: GROVES over OAK PARK.

COTTER: GROVES 21, OAK PARK 6.

Ferndale at Royal Oak: Think Eagles fans and players remember the 35-28 Ravens upset at home from last season??? Both teams are coming into this game at 0-2. The Eagles are coming off a blowout loss to a very good Grand Rapids West Catholic squad. Royal Oak has been outscored 93-0 in their last two games. This looks like an even game but it’s not.

SANDY DUNES: FERNDALE 56, ROYAL OAK 0.

BURNEY: FERNDALE 27, ROYAL OAK 24.

DUNLAP: FERNDALE 21, ROYAL OAK 7.

TIM: FERNDALE 84, ROYAL OAK 0.

STICK: FERNDALE over ROYAL OAK.

COTTER: FERNDALE 35, ROYAL OAK 7.

Troy at North Farmington: This is a very interesting game shaping up at Ron Holland Field. We will see if the Colts are for real in this game. The Raiders are coming off a 68-14 loss to Caledonia last week. North Farmington really needs Ryan Shelby to come back and soon if not they could be in some serious trouble.

SANDY DUNES: NORTH FARMINGTON 21, TROY 14.

BURNEY: TROY 21, NORTH FARMINGTON 19.

DUNLAP: NORTH FARMINGTON 21, TROY 20.

TIM: TROY 21, NORTH FARMINGTON 14.

STICK: TROY over NORTH FARMINGTON.

COTTER: NORTH FARMINGTON 28, TROY 10.

Pontiac at Berkley: The Bears have been one of my biggest disappointments as of late. Berkley has allowed 89 points in the last two games. Pontiac has been competitive despite falling 22-6 to Mount Clemens last week. It’s an interesting matchup but something has to give.

SANDY DUNES: BERKLEY 22, PONTIAC 14.

BURNEY: BERKLEY 34, PONTIAC 20.

DUNLAP: BERKLEY 24, PONTIAC 8.

TIM: BERKLEY 70, PONTIAC 0.

STICK: BERKLEY over PONTIAC.

COTTER: BERKLEY 42, PONTIAC 6.
