West Bloomfield: The Lakers had no trouble with Oxford on Friday night in the Swamp winning 34-3. Kenny Jones had a big night for West Bloomfield. The Lakers have a big test looming when they head to Southfield Arts and Tech to play the Warriors next week.
Adams: The Highlanders earned a 44-18 homecoming win over Stoney Creek on Friday night. Adams had three picks including two defensive touchdowns. Parker Picot was his usual self and Tait Picot had a really good game. The Highlanders have Harper Woods looming next week.
Clarkston: The Wolves needed everything from Ethan Clark and then some on Friday night at Lake Orion. Clark surpassed Ian Eriksen as their single season rush leader and rushed for 38 carries for 410 yards and four touchdowns in a 45-41 shootout over the Dragons. Clark’s performance was the 18th best running back performance in State history. They head to Lapeer next week.
Lake Orion: The Dragons had a ton of opportunities on Friday night against Clarkston but fumbles and mistakes were the difference in their 45-41 loss to Clarkston. Tristin Hill had two rushing touchdowns and the Lake Orion defense whom struggled had two touchdowns. The Dragons need to win out if they want to make the postseason. They have North Farmington looming next week.
Stoney Creek: The Cougars lost a tough one to Adams 44-18 on Friday night. Jon Fogler had a couple of touchdowns but the offense struggled giving up three turnovers, two of them went for touchdowns. Stoney Creek still controls their own destiny but they need to win out. They have Rochester looming next week.
Oxford: The Wildcats had a tough time with West Bloomfield on Friday night falling 34-3 in the Swamp. Jay Cady had a field goal which was the only scoring on the night. Oxford heads to Bloomfield Hills next week.
Southfield Arts and Tech: The Warriors earned the White crown with a 35-12 win over Oak Park on Friday night. Southfield Arts and Tech trailed 12-7 at the half but rallied behind the play of Isiah Marshall. Marshall also had a nice game in the air as well. The schedule gets much tougher for the Warriors as West Bloomfield comes into Southfield next week.
Harper Woods: The Pioneers had a big scoring night at home on Friday night. Harper Woods put up 55 points in a stunning 55-14 blowout of Bloomfield Hills on their homecoming. The Pioneers have a really tough one with Adams looming next week.
Groves: The Falcons had a really tough loss to Rochester on Friday night falling 10-6. Groves couldn’t get anything against a stout Rochester defense. The Falcons have Berkley looming next week.
Rochester: The Falcons are rolling right now. They have won three straight and control their own destiny in a 10-6 win on their homecoming over Groves on Friday night. Rochester has a big one looming with Stoney Creek next week.
Bloomfield Hills: The Blackhawks had things very rough on Friday night. Bloomfield Hills fell 55-14 to Harper Woods on Friday. They really struggled on all phases all night. They have Oxford looming next week.
Oak Park: The Knights had a really tough loss on Friday night to Southfield Arts and Tech falling 35-12. Oak Park had a 12-7 halftime lead but was outscored 28-0 in the second half. They have Orchard Lake St. Marys looming next week.
Seaholm: The Maples were dominant on the ground all night. Seaholm earned a 56-0 blowout win over Berkley on Friday night. Sean Emerson and Colton Kinnie had two touchdowns (one ground and one air) while Kyle Robbins, Will Rotler, Joey Lewand, and Alex Smith each had a rushing touchdown. They are rolling right now. Seaholm has Farmington looming next week.
North Farmington: The Raiders playoff hopes took a hit with a stunning 27-24 loss to Avondale on Friday night. North Farmington has really struggled especially defensively all season. The Raiders have Lake Orion looming next week.
Farmington: The Falcons earned a huge 34-20 win over Ferndale on Friday night. Farmington has been playing really well lately especially Dominic Peshil and Cam Pettaway. They have a big one looming with Seaholm for the Blue next week.
Troy: The Colts defense bounced back by shutting out Royal Oak 42-0 on Friday night. The Ravens had a ton of distractions heading into the game. Troy had their best offensive performance of the season in this game. The Colts have their arch rivals looming next week.
Troy Athens: The Red Hawks had no problem with Pontiac earning a 42-0 win over the Phoenix on Friday night. Troy Athens has their arch rivals looming next week.
Berkley: The Bears had a really rough game with Seaholm on Friday night falling 56-0 at Hurley Field. Berkley needs to move on from this and focus on Groves next week.
Avondale: The Yellow Jackets earned a huge 27-24 win over North Farmington keeping their postseason hopes alive thanks in large part to a winning field goal with four seconds left in the game. Avondale also came back from 17-7 down to complete the comeback. They have a big one looming with Royal Oak next week.
Royal Oak: It has been a really rough week for the Ravens players. They found out that their head Coach Dustyn Truitt was placed on administrative leave and was suspended for inappropriate comments and then they went out and fell 42-0 to Troy at home last week. They have Avondale looming next week.
Pontiac: The Phoenix had a tough one falling 42-0 to Troy Athens on Friday night. Pontiac has Ferndale looming next week.
Ferndale: The Eagles had a rough night falling 34-20 to Farmington on Friday night. Ferndale has Pontiac looming next week.
