Girls Basketball Top 23.

Written Sunday December 18th at 6:15 PM

Here is the Top 23 for the week for girls basketball.

1. West Bloomfield (3-2): When your 2-2 in the last four games it’s a concern albeit it’s against very good competition but when you blow a 22-9 first quarter lead that is a big concern.

2. Rochester (6-1): Three different Falcons have been clutch in the last three games.

3. Lake Orion (5-1): Dragons will be fine, no need to panic.

4. Oxford (5-1): It was a great week for the Wildcats with two wins over Brandon and Seaholm.

5. North Farmington (6-0): The statement win over Stoney Creek was a big deal for the Raiders.

6. Clarkston (4-2): Wolves are clearly a different team without Elle Robak.

7. Stoney Creek (5-1): Cougars bounced back after a really rough loss to North Farmington.

8. Royal Oak (4-1): The Ravens are a sleeper in the White.

9. Bloomfield Hills (4-1): Blackhawks have been improving each game.

10. Troy Athens (4-2): It was a rough week for the Red Hawks.

11. Groves (2-3): It was a rough week for the Falcons against the two Division One State Finalists.

12. Southfield Arts and Tech (2-4): Warriors have been playing better.

13. Troy (3-4): Ah still trying to figure out the Colts???

14. Seaholm (1-4): It was a rough week for the Maples.

15. Harper Woods (1-1): Pioneers have been very competitive.

16. Berkley (1-3): Maybe the win over Adams could change the Bears fortunes???

17. Adams (1-5): Highlanders defense is the reason for the struggles.

18. Farmington (2-4): After two blowout losses the Falcons bounced back against Oak Park.

19. Avondale (2-4): Yellow Jackets have had a good week with wins over Holly and Pontiac.

20. Oak Park (1-2): Knights have been a real Jekyll and Hyde team.

21. Ferndale (1-0): Hmm scoring 63 points opening night is something???

22. Ferndale University (0-3): Allowing 63 points am I hearing this right???

23. Pontiac (0-5): Phoenix really struggling on all phases right now.
